Release Notes

An update to Prototype---Manifest Deploy This release introduces the SimulateOnly parameter. Simulate only does exactly what it sounds like, it will print to the console all the commands it is would make to fulfill the request. This will not affect the contents of your database.

Simple error checking has been introduced and should provide some guidance if trouble is encountered during the process.

The supported functionality is the deployment of a manifest file into SQL Server. How to build a manifest file is covered

A manifest deploy will
Remove all content, including subfolders, for a given location
Create the destination and all intermediary folders
Upload all the packages declared in the provided manifest

To use, save both files into a folder on your local machine. Invoke the exe passing in a server, path on disk to manifest & SSIS packages and the destination folder in SQL Server.
SSISDeploy.Console.exe is in C:\bin
SSIS manifest file and packages are in C:\SSISWorks
Using localhost sql server

C:\bin\SSISDeploy.Console.exe -server "localhost" -manifest "C:\SSISWorks\MyProject.SSISDeploymentManifest" -path "\Foo\Bar"

A simulation would take the form of
C:\bin\SSISDeploy.Console.exe -server "localhost" -manifest "C:\SSISWorks\MyProject.SSISDeploymentManifest" -path "\Foo\Bar" -simulateOnly

Build now based on change set 14044 (20080706)

An incorrect regular expression was addressed. Additionally, if any errors are encountered, for now it will dump that information to the console until such time as I've incorporated better logging.
